The Executive Academy is an intense educational experience for senior Teaching & Learning Professionals,
enabling you to further develop your leadership competencies and effectiveness.
Under the overarching theme "Leading with Impact," the programme is designed to make you more effective in your executive role by empowering you to take on a broader and more strategic responsibility for degree programmes or portfolios.
Through an integrated approach, you will move beyond the identification of conventional institutional responses to market challenges. You will develop an in-depth understanding of how to become a more effective driver of change. The strong international focus will reinforce your ability to integrate global trends into your day-to-day work.
The Executive Academy combines personal coaching, conceptual analysis and integrated application to achieve, for you as a participant as well as the sponsoring school, lasting professional impact.
Programme Directors, Associate/Assistant Deans of Teaching & Learning, and Senior Program Managers with a complete overview of – though not necessary direct responsibility for – the entire academic cycle: admissions, programme design & administration, career services, and alumni management.
Corporate talent managers may also be accepted to support the cross-fertilization of learning.
The Academy admits a maximum of 20 participants to each stream. A rigorous selection and admission process ensures meaningful, competence-enhancing peer-to-peer interaction for all participants.

You will go through a self-discovery process to better understand your strengths and limitations, benchmarking your self-knowledge against self-leadership.
You will discover different ways of motivating and influencing staff, superiors and colleagues. You will learn how to maintain motivation in the people around you and how you can transform reservation into a source of creativity as well as convert demanding stakeholders into committed ones.
Managing successful programmes
You will explore how to advance a strategy-driven programme design and review process and how to manage different performance layers. You will learn how to interlink stakeholder expectations and satisfaction with impact and relevance agendas as well as how to capture opportunities related to disruptive innovation.

The preparatory module will allow you to discover your learning needs, strengths and weaknesses. You will complete the CCL 360 leadership feedback questionnaire involving representatives of all relevant stakeholder groups. At this stage you will also prepare several case studies and critical incidents to be discussed in Module 2.
This module requires 15-20 hours of work.
Part 1: Leading oneself and others
You will explore how to build on self-leadership to develop effective ways of leading and managing others.
Part 2: Managing business programmes within a competitive landscape
This thought-provoking module combines a strategic perspective of managing programmes with an in-depth focus on operations. You will explore how to raise the performance bar and transform well-performing programmes into excellent ones.
Project work and implementation at the workplace
This capstone activity consists of designing and mapping an innovative project of strategic relevance at your home institution.
The total time commitment for this activity will be at least 20 hours.
Upon successful completion of Modules 1-3, you will receive the Executive Academy Certificate issued by EFMD Global Network, which is a leading qualification for Teaching & Learning professionals globally.
As an alumni of the Executive Academy, you will be able to take advantage of networking activities helping you to stay connected and informed about new developments relevant for your professional role.
You will also get an opportunity to contribute to future editions of the Executive Academy and other activities of EFMD Global Network.
